Last of Class Reflection Post
As we wind up the class today until next term I thought we could take a few minutes to regroup and reflect on the knowledge we have gained this term. Please share with the rest of the class:
5 things you have learned this term
5 ways you will be able to use what you have learned either in college or your career (how you will apply your knowledge)
2 what I like to call 'Ah ha' moments - in other words 2 times when the light REALLY went on about something
3 things you liked about the class
3 things you did NOT like about the class
Tell us how you can use social bookmarking (Delicious) to help in other classes and your future career.
And finally, how would you change the class in the future

Writing About Your Language in Plain Words
You are to begin thinking and planning for creating a video about your language. The video must be informative, creative, original, relevant and professional. I will be providing more details tomorrow.
In the mean time you should begin the 'pre-planning' process of determining how you are going to create your video and what your main focus will be.
You will be providing me with a complete project analysis.

Sharing Java and C++ Blogs
You are to share your 2 (two) blogs that you should have found during last weeks assignment. Each of you should have found two blogs that provide relevant, reliable, and pertinent information regarding your programming language.
You are to share those blog links with us here.
In addition, you must tell us why you picked these blogs and what information you found to be of particular interest and why.

Pirates Steal and Pillage
So.......after watching the Pirates movie, describe each instance of 'pirating' from the movie. Describe who pirated from whom and what was pirated. Provide details. MUST BE IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Next comment on the impact that pirating had on each company (think about the different companies involved). Is it just Apple and Microsoft? We can talk about this or you can get a discussion going here on the blog.
Remember the comments in the movie that each man in refence to a 'family'.
Do you think that there was any type of pirating within Apple itself? In other words, what about the MacIntoch vs. Apple struggle? Do some research and find out what you can about the history of both Apple and Microsoft.
Be able to talk about the rise to the top that each company has taken and impact that each company has had on technology in general.
Be able to talk about what market(s) each company competes in today. What is a market? We can talk about this as a group or start a discussion here.
What type of laws would have been in place at the time each company growing regarding intellectual property? Who was the 'enemy' at the time?
Bookmark your sites that you are using in Delicious.
Create a Word document with your comments then post them to the blog. That way you won't lose anything.

Share 2 Blogs and Comment on 3
You are to search the Internet and find 2 blogs that relate to business management or technology and share those blogs with the rest of the class here.
You are to post the blog, a short description (at least two well formed paragraphs) that tells us about the blog, tell us why we would want to follow this blog, why we might find it useful, etc. In other words, convince us to start following the blog.
After your initial post here, then you must read and comment on 3 other students entries. Make sure you are using the blogging rules.
You will have until the end of the day tomorrow to do this.

Welcome Blog
Hello business management and technology students.
Blogging is one of the topics we will discuss in class and what better way to learn than to use a blog. We will use this blog throughout the term in a couple different ways.
It may be to respond to something we do in class. It may be to post work, or comment on other's work. A blog has many different uses. We also will have each of you create a blog so that you can see how easy it is to do.
Before we begin blogging there are a few ground rules to be set!
1. All posts, must use appropriate school language and completed in paragraph form. When you post, you should be using complete sentences with proper grammar and spelling. NO: U, R, UR, i, CUZ, etc.
2. When Posting a comment, you may agree or disagree with another students comment. However, you must state why you feel that way and must do it in a manner that is polite and non-judgmental. The comments need to be non-personal and refrain from sarcasm and put-downs.
3. You must comment on every post, it is an assignment.
4. You must address the topics and questions posted on the blog. You cannot simply write, “I agree.”
